Filter Group

The optical color filter glass are grouped by their main visual color. The filters only appear colored if their action is within the visible spectral range. The optical color glass are distinguished by more or less selective absorption of optical spectrum lines. This is key condition of optical color filter glass. The alphabetic designation corresponds to traditionally developed practice, grouped into their visual colors: ultra-violet, violet, blue, green, yellow, orange, red, infra-red, purplish (amaranth), grey (neutral), white (whites optical clean and which have no color) and opal (milky) glass. Note: Gost's optical color glass are divided into filters groups, as follows.

Filter Type

The ea. filter type within a group is designated by the abbreviated group symbol and a number. Our Gost's filter type is designated by an symbols of the factory options, specification GOST No. 9411 Optical color glass - Specification.

E.g: GOST UVC2, SCHOTT UG11, HOYA U330C..., etc.

Filter Code

The Standard DIN 58191 is used to describe the filter effect and for identification. According to the intended application and spectral range being considered, one filter type can have several DIN identifications.
